Round Hill Woman's Club collection, 1971-1996.

Three histories of the Round Hill Woman's Club written by members. The first, written by Elizabeth Thomas Potts (20 May 1900-1 December 2000), is a handwritten account of the club's activities from 8 July 1946 to 8 July 1971. The second is a typewritten history by Mary Diedrich Monroe (25 January 1908-18 August 1991) covering the years 1946-1983. Ann Whitehead Thomas wrote the third for the club's fiftieth anniversary luncheon on 11 April 1996.

A native Virginian, Ann Whitehead Thomas became a resident of Round Hill, Va., in 1968, soon after her 1961 marriage to H. Rogers Thomas (1911-2001). She had close connections to Upper Loudoun preceding her move to Round Hill; Snickersville and Snickersville Gap were named after her relative Edward Snickers. On 8 July 1946 ten women met at the home of Mrs. J.S. (Bertha Baber) Patterson (3 June 1894-22 November 1949) to form the Round Hill Woman's Club. Patterson was elected as the club's first president.
